Butter pecan fudge is a rich and creamy holiday treat that will without doubt quickly become a family favorite. This decadent dessert tastes like maple goodness and will grace any holiday gathering or party. I am certain you, your friends, family and guests will greatly enjoy this sweet fudge.
The recipe is simple, quick and only has a few ingredients. The hardest part about this recipe is waiting for the fudge to set up. It’s incredibly tempting to cut into…but always worth the wait.
Let’s get started!
Ingredients:
1 & 1/2 cups pecans, toasted
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions:
1.Roast the pecans on a sheet pan for 5 to 10 minutes (or until fragrant) at 350°
2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter on medium-high heat
3. Once butter is melted, add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, heavy whipping cream and salt, mixing well
4. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, stirring consistantly
5. Start the timer and boil for 4 minutes, stirring consistantly
6. After 4 minutes, remove from heat and add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth
7. Add 1 cup of toasted pecans and stir into the mixture
8. Pour the fudge into a 8×8 dish (covered in foil and greased)
9. Add the remaining 1/2 cup of toasted pecans to the top of the fudge and gently press them in
10. Allow to set at room temperature for at least 3 hours before cutting and serving.
“Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”
– Psalms 107:8-9
Hope you all enjoy this recipe.
